My parents, Arturo Velasquez and Nelida Alejandro Velasquez, purchased this house on Hollenbeck Avenue  in 1978, it was their first home together and later became where they raised their children. This house has served as shelter for family members at different times throughout the past 40 years, creating safe and protective energy. In 2020, I started my prayer and planted the seeds for House of Healing to amplify this sacred space of change, growth, and understanding. I am  happy to open this space to my community with the intention of instilling a sense of belonging and collective healing.
